Dr. James Okello Onyoin, PCC

James is a Certified Public Accountant, Professional Certified Coach, Project Management Practitioner and Public Financial Management & Governance Expert with more than 25 years’ experience in International Development, covering over 10 countries. He is a Board Member for Eskom Uganda Ltd and Chair Audit and Risk Committee. He is also Board Member Citibank Uganda Ltd and Chair Board Audit Committee. He is Co-founder and Board Member for the League of East African Directors (LEAD). James is Co-founder and Senior Partner of HLB Jim Roberts, Certified Public Accountants and is CEO of Jim Roberts Consulting Ltd.

James is a Trustee for CEO Summit Uganda and Member Parliamentary Commission Audit Committee, Parliament of Uganda. He is a member of the Finance, Planning and Administration Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU). He is an adjunct faculty member, Strathmore University Business School, Nairobi, Kenya. James obtained a Doctor of Corporate Governance and Leadership from the Commonwealth University and the London Graduate School. James previously held senior management positions at Tropical Bank, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Ernst & Young (EY), KPMG and PwC.

James is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He is the Team Lead for the HLB Jim Roberts organization wide strategic transformation coaching program facilitated by CoachCoegi of India. James is currently involved in a number of Coaching and Leadership Development programs in public, private and civil society organisations. He currently has coaching engagements with organisations such as the CEO Summit Uganda for the Private Sector Foundation Uganda Business Accelerator Leadership Academy and the CEO Apprenticeship Program (CAP), Gratitude Network (US) and the Fowode GROW PROGRAM in Uganda
